Join AAPG to learn how generative AI, Large Language Models, and machine learning are giving geoscientists and engineers the tools to accelerate the time to “first oil,” make more accurate maps and reservoir models, and more quickly develop other subsurface uses, including geothermal, CCUS, energy storage, critical minerals, geologic hydrogen, and more. We need geoscientists, now more than ever, to make this work.
As AI is increasingly used in multiple ways to find and develop subsurface energy resources, from oil and gas, geothermal, lithium brine mining, critical minerals, as well as energy storage and CCUS, the input from domain experts is mission-critical. Equip yourself to use the tools and attend Dec 10-11 in Generative AI, Machine Learning and Analytics in Subsurface Energy, Norris Conference Center / Houston's City Centre.
Day 1: Put Generative AI to Work: Driving Breakthroughs Today
With the new tools and data sets, you can help your company accelerate time to "first oil" production, and identify prospects and hot spots for critical minerals and geothermal resources. If you're in a start-up or wish to provide consulting services, learning where the tools and data are, and how to use them, can equip you to guide companies to success.
Day 2: Identifying and Overcoming Pain Points and Turning them into Real Solutions
By the end of Day 2, you'll have a map that you've created tailored to your company's operations, or the solutions you must design for others. It will incorporate the tools, solutions, and workflows that will help you turn your pain points into solutions, and see improvements in maps, reservoir models, drilling processes, completions, and more.
